Xbox Live: Games on Demand (Is it really worth it?)

Recently, Microsoft unveiled it's new Games on Demand Service. Allowing users to download titles directly to their hard drive. This seems to be Microsofts effort to reroute consumers away from buying used titles from the likes of Gamestop and EB Games. So in an investigative piece, I decided to see where the savings lie: Retail or on Xbox Live. Here are a list of some titles on the service and their compared costs on major retail outlets. The one in bold is the most inexpensive option for consumers.

Mass Effect
Games on Demand: $19.99
EB Games: $19.99

Future shop: $29.99

Star Wars: The Complete Saga
Games on Demand: $19.99
EB Games: $19.99

Future Shop: Not Listed

Bioshock
Games on Demand: $19.99
EB Games: $29.99
Future Shop:$29.99

Alright, so after 3 rounds, it seems Games on Demand takes a minuscule lead over EB Games. Prices are always up for changing (It is Microsoft you know). But this is an improvement over the pricing of Xbox Originals. Which were criticized for their larger then expected price tag.

So would you rather download or buy from the store? Do you still love a physical disc?
